Agnes moved to Detroit as a young adult. The 1910 census showed her living at St. Lukes Hospital where she worked as a chambermaid. Agnes married Charles Forkes Murray on June 29, 1910 in Chatham. Charles was born in Scotland in 1864. This is a photo of Agnes in 1920, with her niece (Jean Coleman) and nephew (Dodd Coleman). Charles must have died sometime before 1930. The 1930 census showed her living in an apartment on Woodward Avenue next to the apartment of her sister Margaret and Margaret's family. Living with Agnes was a friend, Ethel Chatrand, and a cousin, William Kerr. Her occupation was listed as an assistant to a dentist. Agnes and two of her sisters, Belle and Margaret, eventually moved to a house at 538 Hollywood Avenue in Highland park where they lived together for several years. Agnes worked nearby at the medical office of Dr. Shields. Eventually, Belle moved back to Canada where she died. Agnes and Margaret eventually moved to Carsonville, Michigan, where they lived with Margaret's daughter Betty and her husband Casper Basler. Agnes died in 1978 at the age of 95. Agnes is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
