Christina Paterson was born on December 29, 1859, in the town of Cummertrees in the county of Dumfriesshire in Scotland.  According to the census of 1861 and 1871, she lived with her parents and siblings in Cummertrees.

Christina married James McNaughton on November 9, 1882 in Chatham, Ontario.  They had three children: James, Thomas and Florence.  James was born in Canada in 1886.  Thomas was born in Chatham on September 5, 1888 and died in Parma Heights, Ohio in 1972.  Florence was born in Chatham on October 9, 1898.

The 1920 census showed that Christina, a widow, was living in Cleveland, Ohio.  Thomas and Florence were living with her.  Apparently, they had moved from Canada to the United States in 1899.

The 1930 census showed that Christina was living in Ohio and that her sons James and Thomas were living with her.  The men were single and were working as truck drivers.

No other information has been discovered about Christina or her family.
