Murray Coleman was the third and youngest child born to Arthur Roy Coleman and Margaret Paterson.
Roy's first marriage had no children. His second marriage had two children: Dodd and Ruth.
Margaret's first child was Jean, then came Betty, and then Murray.
Murray was born in 1920.
Murray's sister Jean died in a car accident in 1923. His father Roy died in 1932.
Murray married Kathleen Steil on May 1, 1942.
He served in the Navy in a non-combat role during World War II.
They had nine children: Larry, Tom, Dan, Gary, Maryann, Cathy, Carolyn, Diane, and Michael.
For about three decades, Murray sold insurance for National Life and Accident Insurance Company.
Despite the financial hardship, he found a way to take his family to Florida each Easter in the 1960s for a spring vacation.
Murray took an early disability retirement sometime around 1979.
Murray died on August 9, 1984.
